Low Impact Logging

Logging is to forestry as carpentry is to architecture—one is design and the other is implementation. Both play an important role in the success of any forest management activity. The two logging machines used on our tree farm are unique and are unlike any you will see on a typical logging job. Both machines originated in the Canadian Maritimes and were designed to have minimal impact on the forest because of their light weight and narrow width. While these are productive professional machines, our production levels will never compete with the larger logging firms.
